Day 15 – Pillars of Fire! $
March 25th, 2010 Categories: 365 Things To Do In Miami
The acclaimed Seraphic Fire Orchestra is performing Israel in Egypt starting tonight. They have performances for 4 nights only each at a different venue.
Although general admission is $50, I chose to use the single $ because students under 30, with valid ID, can get in for free as long as there are allocated tickets remaining. What a sweet deal! By the way, if you’re not familiar with it, sign up for Culture Shock where students aged 13 – 22 can access the cultural arts scene for $5 or free. One of Miami’s best kept secrets that shouldn’t be. Spread the word!
Here’s the Seraphic Fire Orchestra’s blurb about Israel in Egypt:
Plagues! Pillars of fire! The parting of the Red Sea! If you want an action-packed, drama-filled story, Israel in Egypt is for you. With its thrilling account of hail, fire, flies, and rivers of blood, Israel in Egypt tells the story of the Jews’ escape from Egypt and Pharaoh’s pursuit of them through the Red Sea. Performed the weekend before Passover, this is a marvelous way to begin your Passover celebrations.
