Day 8 – Pinecrest Gardens $

Totally FREE and totally awesome.  That’s Pinecrest Gardens.  Walk the trails of the botanical gardens and you’ll feel like you’re miles away in the lush, tropical surroundings, Banyan trees towering over you and natural streams providing a most relaxing atmosphere.

This makes a worthwhile half-day trip for tourists or a regular spot for locals.  In addition to the gardens there’s lots of stuff to keep the kiddie’s coming back again and again: Splash ‘N Play (small charge for this), Petting Zoo, Playground & Swan Lake.  Uber-locals come here daily with the kids!

If you haven’t been to the gardens lately, it’s time you see what you’ve been missing.
